About This Blog

Like millions of people, I am also very much keen on the quality of democratic functioning in India. But unlike many scholars and analysts, I have gone beyond the discussion that revolves around the party based politics. The analysis done by me and my suggestions are about the structural aspects of Indian democracy. The purpose of discussion on this blog is doing the 'Redevelopment of Our Democracy' or the 'Upgradation of Our Democracy', whatever wording suits better.  

I have taken a very broad view. There are many domain experts working in various specialities like the democracy itself, education, healthcare and others. But my observation is that, in spite of their dedication, the ground level situation seems not satisfactory. This happens because the linkages among various domains (specialities) remain ignored. That affects the improvement in their domains. Such linkages form a part of the set-up. So I have chosen to keep my focus on the structural aspects of Indian democracy. I am aware that, due to this, my work is susceptible to getting limited attention or more likely the ignoring by other ordinary people like me and by the knowledgeable persons, alike.

The controversy over this topic arises because it is generally correlated to the religious matters. But it need not be so. I suggest for introducing two separate statutes as follows, for moving one step further in that direction. National Logistics Policy

One of the appreciable developments in the recent period is the publication of National Logistics Policy or NLP in short form. It was published / declared on 17th September 2022. A concept of Global Logistics Hub also is introduced in that policy. With this remarkable one forward step, India needs one more policy as National Manufacturing Policy (NMP). Without this policy, the logistics policy is more likely to result into transportation and distribution of imported goods into India. The transportation infrastructure should be utilized more for promoting the exports of Made in India goods. I hope that the said NMP also will be formulated and declared in near future. .
